Dear Dana,

On April 27th my daughter Jane planned to visit my mother, Fern T. My daughter lives in Arizona and had not seen her grandmother for almost 2 years. Because mother doesn’t answer her phone, I called Elm crest a few days earlier and requested that someone tell my mother we were coming for a visit. The morning we arrived was spectacular! Mother was dressed in her prettiest red jacket, her hair color and style were neatly done and she was sitting in her wheel chair by the nurses station waiting for us. Mother beamed with joy and i could tell all the preparation which the Elm Crest staff did, made her feel great and confident. Thank you to Jo and the patient care staff who worked so hard to help her look beautiful that day for the important visit from her granddaughter. We feel very fortunate to have mother at a facility where she is so well taken care of. Thank you staff.
Sincerely,
Dave, Patty, Jane and Julie McG.

Dear Bob and Staff at Elm Crest Manor,
How and where do we begin to thank all of you for your love and care shown to mom for the past 7 1/2 years? We are so thankful for all of you and so great full for the wonderful care you gave her. She blossomed once she got to Elm Crest. she did not have much social life when she lived in her little house in New Salem. So the music and Bingo and other activities and just being around people to visit with daily meant so much to her. She so enjoyed it all. You have all been just the most caring people, taking the time to stop and visit with her and she appreciated you all so much.
We are so blessed to have such a wonderful place in NS and wonderful people like you caring for the residents. You were all so good to us those last days when we were sitting with mom and when we stayed overnight, always checking if we needed anything and bringing us food and drinks. We appreciate that so much. We will really miss coming to see mom, but plan to stop anyhow to visit other residents and all of you. It feels like mom’s home, even if she isn’t there.
Thank you again, dear People and May God bless you all richly. With Love and Hugs,
Bonnie and Leonard and Mom’s Family

Thank you to the entire staff for making the short stay of our dad at Elm Crest as comfortable as possible. Thank you for your hospitality, dinner, serving coffee and treats during our time of need. We appreciated the warm and friendly greetings of every employee we encountered. We also appreciated seeing the “impact” of the single rose that spoke volumes to us. It was a sign of your caring. Thanks for attending the prayer service. Jo, your presence meant so much to all of us especially the eldest of the clan.
